Eliyah was born in Rostov, Russia. He made aliyah to Israel when he was 15 years old. Connecting to being Jewish in a new and deep way, this became his way of life. Eliyah never stopped doing art, since he was a young boy in Russia. Now, his art is infused with the joy of being Jewish. He was trained to be a Sofer (Jewish calligrapher), and this is central to his art, which is based in the written and oral tradition. Eliyah completed his studdies as a graphic designer in Hadassah College Jerusalem and working as a designer in Jerusalem.
